Happy Chinese New Year!

First CNY away from home => lack of atmosphere =.=
It'll probably improve after watching the CNY show tomorrow =)

Sejak kebelakangan ini.....
....banyak salji turun

春大概还未回到芝加哥- 不过太阳越来越灿烂,黑夜的降临也越来越迟了!

Well all I'm saying is that Spring hasn't yet returned, and it's supposed to be Spring during CNY, so it doesn't make sense to sing some CNY songs, but we sing and blast those songs in Malaysia even though we don't have four seasons anyway, so who cares? =P

And so this is for everyone back home who reads my blog and misses me =)

This one NG punya:

This one got singing, but I just ate something sticky, so it sounds like a lullaby...

Gong Xi Fa Cai!!!
And I bought some angpaus from Chinatown and I'm going to make fishes! XD~
(Everywhere I go I make fishes :P)

ROARING!!!

p/s Last night i watched this fantastic theatre+acrobatics show "The Witches" (the book by Roald Dahl) by an NU student production team.......really fantastic acting and acrobatics...

CA Interview Selesai!!!!

Yay! I'm so happy it's over!

[Yeah now you have no more excuses to not study Psych]

It went better than I thought =)
I'm glad I went for UCS's interviewing skills session- allowed me to roam and explore my mind and my past a little.
I'm glad that I prepared for the "Tell me about yourself" question this time. (please refer to the post on the Cornell interview experience LOL)

I won't be revealing names because my blog is actually pretty public--- (please refer to comments on the post on the Cornell interview experience ^^;;)

I'll just run you guys through the interview process (did they ever forbid us from telling ppl what happens during interviews? dun think so- else they wouldn't have encouraged us to talk to CAs)

Anyway whoever wants to apply to be a CA, feel free to make use of my experience lol.

11.30am - Orientation- just some briefing, and getting into designated small groups, get to know each other. Each group had a different schedule.
12.00pm - Lunch break: chatted among ourselves a little; I learnt that UChicago off-campus is not a very safe place to be O_O
12.45pm - Group Interview: We were given a bunch of 'criteria' (Elder Hall, picture of Willie the Wildcat- NU's mascot, goal-improve interpersonal relationships btw residence, and 50 bucks) and we had to design an activity/program to do this.... So we came up with a "Wild Day with Willie" telematch/sports/games on the field event where students would form teams and play games. CAs reminded us that Willie the Wildcat has to be booked, and sometimes we have to pay to rent Long Field, and safety is an issue.

1.30pm - (CAs i knew were concentrated in this room =D Of course it doesn't matter coz CAs can't spot ppl they know) We were given a bunch of scenarios, and we had to discuss what was the issue of concern, how to solve the problems, what r the obstacles, and so on. We got:
- Ppl come complaining to you coz ppl say stuff like "You're so gay!" and "That's so gay!" and it's really offending.

- You have organized a ski trip n you're really excited about it. A week before the trip, a resident complained to another CA that you didn't consider wheelchair accessibility on the bus---thus leaving him out coz he uses a wheelchair.

- You know that residents in your hall drink (?) but you have never caught them drinking in their rooms [to non-NU ppl: it is illegal for students under 21 yrs to drink or to be in the presence of alcohol in dorm] You trust these kids, and one day they ask you whether they can hold a dance party in the lounge, and they assure you that there will not be alcohol.. You will be out on the evening they're having the party, so you can't check on them. You give them permission to hold the party. On that night when you come back, you find a bunch of CAs breaking apart the party coz the partiers've been drinking. When questioned they said you gave them permission. The CAs are upset and look at you. |||

- An Asian American girl named Jenny comes crying to you about how a bunch of girls like to talk bad and complain about an Asian(?) TA and saying that he's stealign jobs from ppl who are more qualified and speak good english etc. She says that this affects her and other residents too.

- It's Green Cup! (an inter-dorm competition to see which dorm is the 'greenest', i.e. save most energy use least resources per person). Somebody goes and defaces and writes discouraging comments on the green cup flyer, like "NU is trying to save money".

---
2.15pm: I enjoyed this one! There's a mat in the room with lots of squares in grids. It's a maze. The whole group has to get from one end to another by stepping on squares that are not 'radioactive pockets' (= they won't start beeping if u step on them). Only one person could be on the mat at a time, and if you step on the radioactive one you have to start over. We had a simple systematic strategy, where we would start from the leftmost square and move forward until it beeps. Then we would move left and go forward again- if doesn't work, we move right and go forward. if doesn't work, we went backwards. (Sorry if u don't understand what i'm talking about---i'm getting sleepy x.x) For the first mat, we could talk. For the second mat, we were not allowed to talk. Our group were on the same page regarding the strategy, so that was good =) Funny that on both occassions I was the one who successfully crossed over first. (i was the last/2nd last person to cross- maybe that's why).

3pm: Scenario: You forgot your cell phone, and you haven't checked ur email all day. You come back to your room at 5pm. You were swamped by ten emails/voice msgs/texts which required your response. Rank these from 1 to 10, (1=immediate attention, 10=can be attended to aft things calm down). And then rank these as a group.
Stuff included:
- residents askign you to sign room change form
- fellow CA asking you whether you can switch duty; reply by tonight
- AreaCoordinator (Residence Life Staff) reminding you to do Incident Report
- Professor askign for your resume & ?? coz he's nominating you for a scholarship- a year of paid tuition O_O
- Your best friend- movie date in 20 mins
- Your old friend in town want to have dinner (u've ditched him twice b4)
- History project- your group members computer rosak and the powerpoint you guys were working on last night is lost and the project is 75% of grade and is due tomoro at 8am =.="
- Your mom says she has something important to tell you n ask you to call back
- Someone who was going to give a talk to residents at ur dorm tomorrow had an emergency n cannot make it.
- An angry parent of one of the residents complaining about his daughter's roommate.

3.45pm :One-to-One Interview with a Res-Life-Staff
The basic questions one would expect:
Tell me about yourself
A situation where you had to work with/deal with people who were really different from you
An emergency situation where you had to act fast
What is the role of a CA in a dorm
How could a CA help the hall government
Tell me how you would organize your schedule to fit in the CA duty which is time consuming
Why do you think you should be a CA? (I liked the way my interviewer put this: "We will have a meeting when we discuss the candidates. What do you want me to say about you when they ask "Why should XXX be a CA?")

And do prepare questions to ask the interviewer: Mine were
What is the worst and best thing that a CA could encounter?
What do you think i can do to prepare to become a better CA?

My interviewer was really nice...gave me time to think about my response, gave me his business card. Now should i send him a thank you email or a thank you note? (Never written a thank you note before.) But I like him and I feel in a creative mode (yay Alicia liked the birthday card i made for her and said it was 'Very creative' =D )
-----------
-Owari-
-----------

Wish me good luck for my Anthro Project Draft Summary+Short 4.5 min Presentation on Tues and Psych Exam 2 on Thu ( i have expectations to live up to). Both worth 30% of the grade.

And wish me good luck with getting enough sleep too!

Audtioning for Treblemakers

Hehe. Just to let you guys know I auditioned for an NU acapella group yesterday evening.
(Note to MQ: How come your UTAR Idol and my Treblemakers audtions on the same(?) day?O_O)

Didn't want to make a big fuss out of it so I didn't really tell anyone. =P

The acapella group, Treblemakers, sings Chinese/J-pop/K-pop/English songs.

I didn't really prepare much for this audition. As I said, I didn't want to make a big deal out of it because it would stress me out unnecessarily. From past experience, I can sing pretty well during normal conditions but not when i'm nervous/in front of lots of people. Also I didn't expect much out of it (there are way too many good singers at NU).

I think it was a good choice =) though I think I shouldn't have eaten that green tea ice cream on monday or tuesday, and worn my scarf more often.

So how was my audition? It was not my best, but it could've been worse. So not a total failure (not like INTI Idol audition which was total crap), but not really a stunning performance.

The process went like this: they gave me a 'form' to fill in, with lots of interesting blanks and asking me to be creative [i love doodling...n filling in blanks]. After that the person went into the room and read out my form o.o

After range testing, it was solo- my prepared song. I sang 他不爱我 (He doesn't love me), by Karen Mok. Coz it was safer than 新不了情 ( i run the risk of crashing into falsetto/ go off tune if i'm nervous). Well i didn't go off tune, I don't think i crashed into falsetto, but I wasn't careful with the tone, so my voice wasn't as clear as it should be.

Then we had singing from memory. (Like piano aural test) The pianist played a long tune twice, and I couldn't remember it, so I just simply made up something like it x.x (Josiah teach me one). Then one of the jury asked him to play a shorter one, which I had no problem with.

Then sight singing. The sheet had from easy to difficult, and I got the second level (medium). It wasn't too hard, though I messed up a little towards the end.......

Lastly Interview session. They asked me some generic interview questions (how did you hear about treblemakers? etc.) , and questions related to my form (quite a lot lol). Then they said they'll contact me through email once they've decided.

^_^ I quite enjoyed the audition. The jury (about 5-6 ppl) were pretty nice =) Of course I could've been better (i would probably be cringing if i heard a recording of it). And well i'm not gonna expect much. I could audition again next time if I want to. See how.

Ok, I've been so lazy lately x.x I need to return to the tenacity of Fall Quarter. Agh. God give me strength. ~~~God Gives His People Strength~~~

Last Minute Thoughts (emo /baccklogged post)

Received so many red packets. So many good wishes.T T

It must be a sin if I don't feel grateful.

I could have never become what I am today if I am alone.

Thank you...

I was living the pig's life quite foolishly these few months...eat, sleep, watch anime, play computer...not using my prime of youth to do more sustainable good. Too lazy to even upload photos to Facebook dutifully.

So actually i'm now afraid of going back to studies, since it's been pretty long since i've studied seriously. Besides, the American system is really gonna be different from Malaysia's. T.T Takut sikit... coz i'm no good at speaking Ingrish. I even find writing essays a big challenge. So...why the heck did Northwestern choose me???

Ahhhh...no matter what i have to do it la. Be kiasu kiasu abit, it'll help me to move foward. Even though it's not the 'best' way (the best way, IMO, is to keep moving foward on my own initiative, without needing a rotan cane or a looming approaching deadline to push me to do my best. This is something i haven't been able to achieve yet)... being kiasu is what has pushed me to certain things i normally can't do in the piggy state i'm now. So so so, I'll
do my best. Push my butt off the lazy chair.

And uh, i must lose weight. T.T I must lose weight before 20. Oh dear i don't wanna be a fat young lady. Why does everyone tell me i'm gonna grow fatter in the US Iyadaa Iyadaa Iyadaa

"Let us go instead where there's no path and leave a trail." (Japanese proverb)

Anyway, the time is now 12.45am, September the Seventh. and I have to wake up at 5am and reach KLIA by 7am.

Thanks again, everyone! I pray that these blessings will stay with me and that I shall deserve them by doing my best wherever i can. I must feel as grateful as I felt when I first received the JPA scholarship, first received my acceptance email from UWash and Northwestern.

Everyone, take care~! I'm off!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And after finishing that line, I went to sleep, woke up, blablablablabla, and
thus, I've arrived in O'Hare International Airport on Sept8, 12.30am.

Of course this wasn't written in real time.

CSS Trip to Seremban...tsuzuku!

Ok, even I myself am getting tired of writing in such miniscule detail.
but it's important to me. coz i might find myself trying to recall back these little little things a few years down the road. Anyway!

Fast foward to the morning itself. Jeng jeng jeng.

Twas a bee-yew-tee-fool morning...

And what do we have here?

Gerard the Brahma of Kiasuism pecking away at Psycho lol.
Someday I shall blog about Kiasuism and what it means lol.

The stuff that Gerard seorang diri carried down from 3rd floor to ground floor (applauds =P) and then 4 of us Clare, Michelle, me, carried to the bus stop.

This ish not junk!! All these cost RM130!!! And it's gonna be put to good use at Virashini Home =).

Adit skywalking. Yoanna. Candid shot.

Even though I only asked for the mini bus (coz we estimate 20 participants), but they gave us the Big Bus! For free!! Wheee~~~~~ we have the whole bus to ourselves!!!!!

The turnout for the event? 12+1. 12 out of 18 who signed up came. Norman couldn't come coz he had to help his sister move house; Eric couldn't come because he had 4 Tests & 1 Quiz next week FREAKIN CRAZY!!! Frank pulled Godfrey into his car that morning and made it 13, whee~~!!

Lone (pronounced as "Leona") busy on the phone

Joan is camera-shy! (that's my jacket, btw =P)

Morning scene in Seremban ^_^ Looks just like Malaysia. Me likey.
We reached tepat 9am. Just in time for mass. But it was already crowded with crowds. Some of us had to sit outside. Some got the deluxe center seat right in front of Father Michael hehe. I sat with Clare near the back.

Michelle~~~!!! This was after after mass and almost everybody had gone home.

After Mass, we seated ourselves in the church compound and discussed what games to play at Virashini Home. Gerard & Clare walked around asking for directions to Virashini Home (we are so last minute hor orz). For lunch, Sherman told us that we could buy from the church canteen. But there were too many people so we decided to walk down to Parkson.

I like the fact that a Catholic Church, a Sikh Gurdwara, a Hindu Temple and a Parkson Grand can sit comfortably within walking distance of each other =D There's a Methodist Church further down the road too if I'm not mistaken ^^

On the way to Parkson, we passed by a nice flight of steps, and we couldn't resist the temptation to take group photos in front of Majlis Perbandaran Seremban LOL!!
Everybody point at Gerard!!!

Priceless expression. XD

We had our lunch at Parkson. At first we planned to refund the participants RM5 for their lunch money. But they generously said we don't have to refund them if the budget was exceeded. (T.T) I am very touched~~

After lunch, we walked back to the Church and hopped on the bus to Virashini Home~ The bus driver had many misgivings about whether the bus can drive into the narrow lanes and out, so we hopped down, carried the stuff and walked to Virashini Home.

********

I think none of us expected to see what we saw.

I am embarassed to admit that I didn't know Virashini Home is a home for the mentally handicapped. Seriously. We didn't know. Obviously we couldn't play any of the games we had planned. We were rather at a loss.

The caretaker, Angela showed us around and told us stories about the folks living there. Here is a little girl with a curved spine. She could not eat normally, and sometimes had difficulty breathing.

Gerard's late sister also had the same affliction. She passed away last year at the age of 17.

I think all of us felt lost and didn't know what to do. When we saw a helper folding clothes, most of us sat down and began to help her fold clothes. I didn't. I wanted to go straight to the folks, but I felt nervous. So I tugged at Michelle.

Michelle said, "I think we cannot do the games...Let's just spend time with them and talk to them."

When I asked her to come and talk, she said, "You go lah."

So I went. The first person I approached was Mimi, a girl of 14. She sits in a weird posture with her head down. With their hair cropped, we couldn't tell who was a girl or a boy. It was Angela who told me. Mimi and her sister, Ah Fong, were from Kelantan. When their father passed away, their mother sent them here.

Frank, Mimi, another lady, the man with beautiful eyes and me.
Adit said I was proposing to him LOL. Seriously, he has really beautiful eyes and long eyelashes, and he likes to hold my hands. He never managed to speak but I felt he was trying really hard to speak. I like him ^^

Michelle and her 2 friends. Michelle is really good. She listened patiently to two of the folks there telling her their stories, sympathized and empathized with them.

A young boy helping out at the home, and Adit. Adit himself also has a mentally handicapped younger brother, who knows how to play Counter Strike lol.

I sat with Mimi, holding hands for quite a long time. I don't know whether she's sleeping or awake, but I believe she likes to listen to music. When I sang some songs to her (like Shining Friends, 手牵手我的朋友), she actually looked up! ^_^

The lady in orange is Angela, the caretaker of the home. She is really really brave and strong and all the folks at the home love and admire her. It's not easy running a home. I respect her for her dedication.

Funny guys VS Frank and Godfrey. Not sure what they were doing, but the yellow shirt guy can speak a bit and is funny.

There are also a few hyperactive little boys who kept running round and round. They are so cute!
The little boy half-hidden behind the cradle really loves acting. Would run around and randomly start pretending to faint.
This is how the Home looks like. There's a tiled open space compound outside the house.

Victory. V. Funny guy, Adit, Iva and Desi.
Around 4pm, we walked back to the bus (tired and under the sun. I thank the members for not complaining!! T.T i owe you guys...). On the way to the bus thunder was rumbling and lightning was flashing all over the sky. Kinda scary but beautiful. ^^
On the way back in the bus I contemplated whether to still go for mass at chapel or not. I felt tired, and may have a Calculus quiz the next day, and I don't really want to come back from chapel alone. But if I dun go then there'll be no music. So I called pami and consulted them. They said it's ok not to go, coz I've ady attended mass at Visitation, besides I have a quiz tomorrow. And pa said that they would understand, coz sometimes Mary (USM student who comes to play the organ for our church) cannot come to play, and pa understood and said it was ok, and they also didn't have music for those nights. Finally I messaged Aunty Sita I couldn't come for mass. She seemed disappointed. But I'm glad i decided not to go. I hadn't realized how tired I was until when I went back to my room, attempted to study calculus, and just fell asleep at the table: with my chin on the book and pencil still in hand!
Will talk more on the issue of keyboarding for the chapel in another post. I do hope that this won't be my first and last event. I want to continue having the desire to help and serve the less fortunate. I want to remember the message of I THIRST. Make a difference. Till then~
I love this shot. ^___^

Backlog: CSS Student Mass + Trip to Seremban

I shall systematically begin to 'back-blog' significant events...

CSS Student Mass

I was in charge of music, as usual. This time I desperately wanted to have drums and guitars and everything, to make a "Bham!" that our usual meetings rather sadly lack. One thing I learnt from past mistakes is I'd better be early if I wanted to get things done. Two weeks before the mass, I booked my musicians: Carmen-drums, Daymien-guitar. Actually wanted to ask Kelvin to play drums so Carmen can play keyboarrd so I can relax and goyang kaki but he said his skills were rusty =( Anyway I booked the musical instruments. And booked the time for practice. And chose the hymns for the mass late Thursday night. And booked the music room for practice the Friday before the mass. Also had to borrow drums from ICB. Very lucky that I'm in ICB and I know the ICB boss. Thanks to Seow Wen for lending the drums!

Bla bla bla. We were also busy planning to make gifts our members who'll be leaving next sem. Went to Clare & Nicole's room in Block E to help decorate the mugs for Fr.Michael, Ms.Clara, Sherman and Emmy, and Gerard. Clare cont. making the gifts when i went back to room 12++pm zzz.

Fast foward. Pictures please!

Austen was our commentator. He's great! And look at the full house =D. Many never-seen-before faces, INTI staff (i spotted some ppl from SAO), the regular members, old members, non-members... Jia Min, our jpa senior/Gerard's friend who is a Protestant also came, haha!

The Band! temporarily set up for the objective of this mass. Daymien brought his friend to sing the Responsarial Psalm. Very good ^^
Thanks a lot to Carmen too =)

Fr. Michael Chua!!! And makeshift altar using INTI tables LOL. I enjoy his sermons, coz they can easily get into (and remain) my head. I remember him talking about the tiny drop of water that can wear away the hardest things for our mass.

ERIC~~~~~~~~!!!!!!! First Reading =D

I really do like this photo. Candid capture of smiles and goodwill going around in the room. That smiling tall girl in brown is Michelle. And you can see Eric, Norman's back, and part of Alvin =P.

The Student Mass was a test of my skill, patience and flexibility as a keyboardist T.T First, that was my fiiiiirst time playing that keyboard (SAO's old keyboard. so guys when you book the keyboard do take note whether its old or new one). Dunno how to fix the controls. The left hand keys couldn't produce any sound, at most some weird sounding bass. So ended up playing on the upper keys only. =A=

Another is the discrepancy with the powerpoint/projection. My fault also, coz when I edited the powerpoint for the mass (to put in lyrics) I didn't rename/save over the file, so we used the unedited powerpoint. Also I didn't check through the slides before the mass, which I would usually do.

*** deja vu during Microecons presentation =.=" opened the wrong ppt which contained wrong statements x.x

So 'Kau Yang Terindah' our communion hymn went missing from the slide (when i've already started playing T.T i have to gain the habit of looking at the projection before playing orz). Also, we had practiced the Final Hymn, The Power of Your Love in G key, and the chords i printed was also in G-- but but the slides were in F. So I was like -A- i have no choice. DRAMATIC CHANGE OF MINDSET TO F KEY. 死就死. And thank God thank God that I started on the correct notes!!! I have to thank God for the times I played The Power of Your Love in F key (for fun) back home. -A-

For more pics, please go to mah Facebook. Not forgetting to thank Frank for being the cameraman.

After the Mass, FOOOOOOD~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Beribu-ribu terima kasih kepada Ms.Clara kerana membekalkan kami makanan bertaraf 5-star dari caterer utk MAS (yesh MALAYSIA AIRLINES OMG!!!) Spaghetti, sandwiches, nicely-cut-fruits!! This is not what you commonly get for free club dinners yaknow!! (common food= mee hoon, curry chicken, nuggets, fishballs...yayaya what our poor club could only afford for the Gathering Night T.T) Thank you Ms.Clara~!!! ^O^

***Ms. Clara is married but it's easier to address her like this :P She's Uncle Stanley's wife, and both of them are actively serving in St.Theresa's Chapel.

So I was quite happy that the mass turned out pretty fine, and the hiccups here and there are considered normal and to be expected. Must give my appreciation to Austen, Terrence (who helped ALOT), Clare (tabik Chairperson baru kita! She's really good at handling misc stuff)! ^_^

CSS Trip to Seremban

You can say it's my dream come true. I've always wanted, really wanted to organize something for charity. The intial process was messy, stressful, and unpromising. At first we wanted to organize a trip to Melaka. Everyone was yay-yay about it. But somehow we couldn't get started. Couldn't get everyone to meet, because everyone was plagued with tests/quizes/assignments/other commitments. Setting the date was a headache because we had to book an INTI bus. And INTI bus drivers are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. INTI requires us to submit the bus booking form at least 2 weeks before the event; but we have to book a bus before all the drivers are taken. AND the minimum number of passengers for booking a bus is 25 passengers (which i think is rather MURI (an impossible feat) for CSS =.=)

Hence the most crucial character was Austen, because he's the one with the contact numbers and knowledge of Melaka, but he was really busy. Anyway, we finally caught hold of him after his debate competition, Austen contacted his old friends, but they were not in Melaka. It would be rather difficult to make the trip to Melaka. It would also be troublesome to find a venue to stay overnight, and transportation if the bus could not stay with us throughout the trip.

So-> change of plans! Make a shorter, simpler trip to somewhere closer: Seremban! So nagged Gerard to get the list of homes/orphanages in Seremban from STACT-Club-Big-Boss-Zi Sen-who-happens-to-be-his-gf (Zi Sen is a very niceee guy) Instead Gerard stalked Sherman who gave us Virashini Home's phone number. That was around 5 March, when me, Michelle, Clare and Gerard had dinner together at Loke Yuan, during which Gerard kept diverting our attention by carrying out his evil open-secret propaganda of getting Clare to accept the position of Chairperson for next semester XD~ (the bak kut teh vege at Loke Yuan is pretty nice, btw + healthy too! y m i talking abt this blek ="=)

The next day, the impatient anxious O.C. for the event couldn't wait much longer, so after Calculus class she and Michelle went to Sidewalk Cafe, then Michelle called Virashini Home and arranged our trip with Angela (the caretaker of Virashini Home). Ahh~ what could I do without you Michelle...our precious Public Relations Officer with her wonderful social skills T.T Angela said 28 March (Saturday) was fine. We also asked her questions about the home, what activities can we do and misc stuff.

With the date set, I continued the bus booking headache. Headache headache when they had no bus available for that day because it was a working saturday. I consulted Gerard (who had become Secretary for the event) and Clare (Treasurer for the event lol), and settled on 29 March, Sunday. (if postpone to the following week, scared it's too close to final exams & ppl wanna study) Ok, Sunday it is. Then we can go for Mass at Church of Visitation. Asked Gerard to help me find out the time for mass.

Sidenote*:I think that I donated blood (1st time) that Friday lol. And became pening after donating 2 bags of blood that I had to lie down there and ponteng Chemistry class =P.

Finally got some peace of mind after FINALLY successfully booking the bus on the following Monday, with the itinerary and all. Then it was peace tests and assignments and submitting the Activity Proposal to INTIMA (at least 2 weeks before the event; but Gerard says they dun mind if it's one week before :P) Thanks to Clare for helping me with the budget proposal, coz i really have no experience with budgets and estimating the cost of stuff.

Coincidentally, the student mass and the trip fell in the same week. If you have read my previous post, you could imagine how freaking busy I was. = = And the trip happened to be the last activity of CSS for the semester. And I managed to get a number of people to sign up for the trip during the mass (i mean during dinner after the mass). We got 18 people!

23 March: Monday evening, day before our student mass. Meeting at bakery to discuss about the mass AND THE TRIP (<- stressed OC over here) Gerard, Eric (came even though he had a quiz the next day), Steffi, Joan, Michelle (came a while even though she had a physics test the next day) and me discussed the gift for Virashini Home, our breakfast & lunch for the trip, and activities to do at the home. Certainly more minds make for better discussion! This is what you call a meeting...not the pitiful satu dua tiga+empat orang yang langsung没有头绪. Or maybe it's because we now have definite dates, times, plans and items, and a stupid desperate OC who must worry and must have some proper plans for the trip. Anyway that evening we decided that:

a) we shall buy the gift for Virashini Home at Mydin after WOTC on Fri, and Joan/Mich will see the price of Lactogen when they go to Giant/Sunway;

b) Steffi will buy Gardenia buns (our breakfast) at TIMES

c) we shall ask Sherman whether he can find catering for our lunch after mass at Church of Visitation.

Ah...I'm relieved sikit.

27 March: Friday night. Michelle and I led the Way of the Cross at chapel. Hehe. Many people dun know this, but I actually like oration. I enjoy reading aloud in class, emceeing with a script, mendeklamasi sajak (Malay, English, Chinese), elocution (with a script)...really makes me feel "ooh" and terasa nikmat mendramatisasikan teks... Ok, enough of saya.

After the WOTC, Michelle, saya, Eric and his twin Daniel went to Mydin to buy stuff for Virashini Home. Daniel came to INTI for a visit. He's also a JPA scholar from INTEC. I seriously dunno what we would've done without them! We bought around RM130 worth of daily essentials. Like cooking oil, condensed milk (Mich wanted more tins but i said NO~!! DIABETES!! lol), toilet bowl cleaner, detergent, soap, baby lotion etc... We went back to INTI by bus, and Eric & Daniel carried the stuff up A Block and dumped them in Gerard's room muahahahahahaha!!! [yaya i was a little mad at Gerard coz he cannot go for WOTC because he has a group meeting for World Religion assignment which i fully understand cannot be helped and so isn't this a wonderful way of exacting revenge cooperating? Bwahahaha. ]

And I must say twins are so fascinating!

Eric & Twin, Daniel.
